Freshware V7 News: New Production Management Features
The Freshware team have added some new core features for Production Management.
Per Depot Split – When sales orders are entered/imported, at the point of creating the production jobs, the user can select the depot split per product and the priority of depot production.
The top part of the pop-up screen (shown below) is information about the sales orders depot- order number, qty required. If the user would like to use any stock already packed towards the order, this can be allocated from the bottom of the screen. Then against each depot order line the user can select priority of depot production – to suit collection/ delivery waves
On the tablet app production screen (below), the line leaders will have the information of what they need to produce and the priority of production as well. The app is designed to prevent the line leader from being able to overproduce.
At the point of producing new pallet towards depot/order the user will have a preview of the pallet label and option to select number of copies and the label printer. When the label is printed the pallet is available for allocation from the warehouse. The line leader can monitor his production from the information board. Printing of pallet labels from the tablet app is now available from the Goods In menu and Production Menu.
Empty bin control screen – At the point of receiving new consignment with produce in bins, the bin type needs to be selected. When the consignment is received/graded the bins generate stock against the grower/supplier.
The screen (below) is designed to display the activities daily (in and out), by month, and show the opening and closing balance for the beginning and end of the month.
Moving Bins Back to Grower – We have added a stock movement screen (below) for the tablet app to help the forklift driver, at the point of loading. As soon as the transaction is confirmed, a dispatch note is sent to a chosen email address.
Job/Rate Card Combined Costing Module – We have now developed a job/rate card combined costing module as most of our customers are working on a combination of charges under one job code.
In the below example, Job code 300 contains multiple charging components:
- Sorting – charged per pack – on Product in- raw material.
- Box end label (BEL) – charged per box on outturns (produced)
- PR (positive release) – charged per pallet on outturns.
- PLU (application of PLU label) – charged per pack/single fruit on outturns.
Therefore, when job code 300 is used, the card will display the correct costing calculation depending on how the components are set. Now our customers can challenge packhouse overcharging.
- Sort charge – 200 boxes x6 packs per box =1200 units
- BEL – 420 boxes produced.
- PR – 9 pallets – based on 48 boxes per pallet product set up – 420 produced/48 = 9 pallets
- PLU – based on number of boxes produced 420 x number of packs per box 4 = 1680
