New Agrilogik Features for Farm Forecasting
Financial Forecasting
We currently accommodate Forecasting based on three Job Types: “Harvesting”, “Planting / Husbandry” and “General”.
For Harvesting, this uses the Cropping Profiles. On each Planting Record, like a Yield set to a plot, we can apply a “Harvest” Financial Budget figure. Cropping profiles are created initially provide an estimated map over weeks 1-52 of a picking year, where harvesting will take place. Users set a percentage into each week, of a total year’s harvest in the cropping profiles, which in turn distributes the Harvest Budget figure, based on those estimate percentages, across the weeks of the year. This means there is a Yield and a Harvest Budget that uses the Cropping profile to map out data as a forecast. Once these are in place, we can collect a budget for the planting year for the Harvesting Job Type.
For General and Planting/Husbandry, users can review the Financial Forecasting screen. This screen looks like the planting screen, however it displays on a plot-by-plot basis, the “ACTUAL” and the “BUDGET” data, as a total. This can be further “Expanded”, via a drop-down list, that breaks out the three job types where users can populate the Budget data and also compare it to the ACTUAL on a week-by-week basis. The Harvest Data budget is automatically populated on this screen based on data from the cropping profiles.
Job Creation and 6-Weekly / Daily Farm Forecasting
Based on cropping profiles, Yield is estimated on a weekly basis for each plot. Users can view the data nearer to the harvest period (or at any time) and make decisions based on the forecast to tweak yield quantities for harvesting. This can be set for a week and daily.
As the week ahead approaches for harvesting, users can then “Click and Create” Harvest Jobs on-bulk, based on the data from the Forecast. This pre-populates Job Header data into the Job Creation screen, allowing the users to efficiently complete remaining inputs for which Supervisor, Employees, Rates and Valid Size the harvesting would be for.
Agrilogik Farming App
The Agrilogik Farm App (shown above) currently allows Harvesting Jobs to be created out on the field and to select plots that are already within the system. It also allows the users to select jobs already planned based on either forecasting or ad-hoc created jobs from the ERP.
Once Jobs are selected, users can select which employees to ”clock in” and “start” the jobs. The app will record what is harvested against each employee on the job.
Data is recorded to provide analysis of progress and once the job is completed, this data is sent back to the main ERP to book in the harvested stock.
Recorded data is also for Work Recording, which in turn is later passed onto Payroll. The app can handle both Time Work and Piece Work, Breaks and Gangs.
